First things first we will have a consultation and will ask simple questions depending on the answers the conversations can take a different shift. First of all, I ask if they have had any cosmetic procedures done and where they would like to begin their body sculpting sessions. "What brought you to body sculpting, and what area or concern would you like to focus on? Again, depending on the response, we go different routes.

If procedures have been recently done, then I ask how long ago. Have they been cleared for massage/body-sculpting services, and what post-operative care did their surgeon recommend? I ask whether they've been told they have fibrosis or whether they're experiencing areas of firmness/texture after surgery. Or are They just trying to get maintenance sessions.

If their concern is loose skin after pregnancy, there are a few things I need to know before deciding on a treatment protocol. How long has it been since delivery? Was it a C-section or vaginal delivery? These questions are important because I need to consider how much healing time the body has had, especially if there was a C-section. I need to consider the surgical area, their healing timeline, and whether there is still sensitivity or changes in sensation. If there is any uncertainty about healing or if treatment is appropriate—or if their medical history or the treatment contraindications call for it—medical clearance will be required before beginning treatment. Safety will always come before the treatment plan.

I always remind clients that skin tightening takes consistency and time. After pregnancy or weight gain, the skin tends to stretch. This is where Radio Frequency may become an important part of the protocol because Radio Frequency uses controlled heat to reach deeper layers of the skin, causing existing collagen fibers to contract. Over time, this also supports collagen remodeling, which can gradually improve the skin’s firmness and the appearance of loose skin. In my own experience, I’ve also seen an improvement in the appearance of stretch marks.

If the client is in a weight loss journey and can't seem to get rid of love handles, double chin or anything where subcutaneous fat tends to accumulate than we start asking questions such as Are there any health conditions I should be aware of before treatment?  What else are you doing to change your habits and how long have you been in this weight loss journey.

Every client gets a different range of questions depending on their past, present, and future. Everyone wants to look better, but a question I always ask everyone is, ‘What are your realistic goals and expectations? And remember, body sculpting isn't weight loss. The focus is on body contouring and localized areas of subcutaneous fat.

First things first: what's your goal? The purpose of these questions is for us to get to know each other and create a protocol that fits your goals. The right protocol is the goal. So, are you ready??
